The Slovak Karst National Park is situated in the districts of Rožňava and Košice -surroundings in the southeastern part of Slovakia. The area of National Park is comprised of a series of karst plateaux mutually separated by valleys. from west to the east there are: Koniarska Plateau and Plešivecká Plateau, then Silická Plateau, Horný vrch Plateau and Dolný vrch Plateau, Zádielska plateau and Jasovská Plateau. Most karst phenomenons are connected with Mesozoic middle Triassic period light Wetterstein
