The old mining town of Rožňava extends over a picturesque valley of the Flaná river under the spurs of the Volovské vrchy hills. The first mention on the town comes from 1291. The former ferrous health resort in 1910. The heatth resort for treatment of anaemia and leukaemia was founded neat three ferrugineous springs in the early 19th century. Nowadays, it is used as a picnic place.
